Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 15, 2025

1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Inferact, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on inferacthq.com (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Inferact is a developer-facing infrastructure platform; our cookie footprint is minimal and limited to what is necessary to run the Site and measure how engineers discover and use it.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognize your device across pages, maintain session state for the dashboard, and measure which documentation sections and blog posts engineers find most useful. We also use related browser storage mechanisms such as localStorage (for example, to remember that you have dismissed the cookie notice).

3. How We Use Cookies

Category Examples on this Site Lifetime
Strictly necessary Session token, CSRF protection, cookie-banner dismissal flag Session to 12 months
Preferences Dashboard theme (dark/light), docs sidebar state Up to 12 months
Analytics Self-hosted, anonymized page-view and referrer data; no cross-site tracking Up to 13 months
Marketing Not currently used --

We do not place advertising or retargeting cookies. We do not share cookie-derived data with ad networks.

4. Notice and Choice

Because we operate under a notice-only model for US visitors, non-essential cookies (analytics) may be active from your first page load. A notice banner informs you of this. You can opt out of analytics cookies through the cookie preferences link in the footer or by configuring your browser as described in Section 7 below.

5. Universal Opt-Out Signals

Where applicable state law requires (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon) we honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. If we detect a GPC signal, we suppress analytics initialization for that browser session and treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

6. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers acting on our behalf (for example, self-hosted analytics infrastructure). We have data-processing agreements with such providers that restrict their use of data collected through inferacthq.com to the purposes described in this Policy. We do not embed third-party advertising or social-media tracking scripts on this Site.

7. Managing Cookies

  • Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer to dismiss the notice or re-open the preference interface.
  • All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break dashboard login and session state.
  • For browser-by-browser instructions, see aboutcookies.org.

8. Changes and Contact

We may update this Policy when we change our analytics stack, add new product surfaces, or when applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any revision. For questions:
